This painting was painted by Claude Monet. I went to Washington DC last summer and went to the Smithsonian's National Gallery of Art. I saw fabulous pieces of art. Including Leonardo da Vinci's "Ginevra de'Benci," Rembrandt van Rijn's "The Mill," and Raphael's "The Alba Madonna." But out of all of the paintings, I really liked the Water Lily-Pond painting by Claude Monet. I like it because it is on the impressionistic side. I like how the lilies are painted with different shades of purple, as well as how Monet created some texture in the painting.

This was painted by Vincent Van Gogh. It reminds me of when my family went to a sunflower farm in Oregon. He has many paintings that are admired and his painting style is often imitated. Vincent Van Gogh was a very interesting person, however, he had many problems throughout his life and he actually cut off one of his ears!
